Heavenly Maid Cleaning Service, Inc, is a Native American, female minority, locally owned and operated cleaning service, established in 1990. After 4 years in operation, owner Mona Makela, went off to fly the friendly skies of United Airlines. After a lot of traveling, and moving up the corporate ladder, a furlough forced her resignation in 2002. The business was successfully "re-ignited" in 2004 bringing the company to over 30 cleaning professionals, and several office staff as of 2010.

We maintain very reasonable prices by keeping our overhead and expenses down. Advertising dollars can't buy repeat business-only quality work can be gauged by the amount of repeat business they receive. Many customers have told us that we are less expensive and provide more personal services than the franchise maid companies they previously hired. Most of our business comes from referrals, therefore, our name speaks for itself. Our client base consists of CEO's, NFL football players, prestigeous law firms, The Art Institute, and all Starbucks in Gresham, Sandy, Troutdale, Hood River and SE Portland areas.
People are busy and don't have the time or energy to clean their own homes. They're also frustrated by the hassle of having to locate, interview and hire reliable private persons to do it for them. That is where WE come in handy.
Each clients home and needs are different. Our challenge is to refer a cleaning professional that matches your specific needs and expectations, and that you are happy to have return on an ongoing basis. If that housekeeper goes onto other things, or if for some reason it is not a good "fit", we will provide you with a replacement housecleaner. A new or replacement housekeeper is generally available on short notice. All of our cleaners read and speak English.
We want you to feel comfortable with the person who's in your home. Doesn't it make sense for you to know your housecleaner and your housecleaner to know you and what is important to you? It is our commitment to assign the same cleaning professional to your home. However, there may be an occasional circumstance that prevents us from reaching that goal each and every time.
In order to work for us, our cleaning professionals must pass and be clear of the following:
National criminal background check State department of corrections Record Sex Offenders and Kidnappers Registry County Criminal Court Index Terrorist and Other National/International Watch List
We are registered with the State of Oregon and are Incorporated. Email for our registration number. We are also listed on the National House Cleaning Directory. Heavenly Maid is proud of our incredible low turnover rate for our industry. This allows us to provide consistently excellent service for our clients. Our housekeeping professionals are all "trained by the trainer" regardless of their prior cleaning experience. Our housekeeping professionals must pass a criminal background check and are thoroughly screened. We wouldn't have someone in YOUR home that we wouldn't have in OUR home. Your home is a valuable asset and we aim to treat it with the same tender loving care that you would.
We carry a $5,000 Fidelity (Theft Bond) and $1,000,000 in General Liability Insurance with American Family Insurance.
